Registering candidates for an admissions test

Helpdesk Training Article

This article contains guidance for Exams Officers at authorised Admissions Testing centres regarding candidate registration for the following admissions tests:

  • BMAT (November session)
  • STEP Mathematics
  • Test of Mathematics for University Admission
  • University of Cambridge pre-interview assessments
  • University of Oxford admissions tests and MAT for Imperial College London.

For our other admissions tests, please see the Registering for other tests section below.

Registering candidates

All candidates need to be registered via the Entries Extranet, a secure website that allows Exams Officers at authorised centres to register, view, modify and withdraw candidate entries.

If your school or college is not an authorised centre but you wish to register candidates for our admissions tests, please visit Become a test centre.

It takes some time to gather all the information you need to make your entries so we recommend that Exams Officers work closely with subject teachers and heads of department to make sure candidates are registered for right tests.

Further information

Further guidance regarding the registration process (including candidate registration forms to help you collect details from students) can be found on our website.
