If you think something might have affected your performance during your test, such as temporary illness/injury or problems with the administration of the test, you can apply for special consideration.
Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing will consider the circumstances and may, at our discretion, advise the institution(s) of the severity of the Special Consideration. The decision to take the Special Consideration into account or not is at the discretion of the institution(s). No adjustment will be made to the your results.
*Please note, for STEP we are only able to pass on special consideration notifications to the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick.
Submitting a request for special consideration
You can make a request for special consideration through your school or college. The Exams Officer at your school or college should submit the online application form for Special Consideration.
If you sat your test at an Open centre, you may complete the online application for Special Consideration form yourself.
The Special Consideration form will be available here in time for the next test session.
Completed applications must be received within five working days from the test day.
