This article contains information for candidates looking to register for any of our admissions tests/assessments.
STEP and the November session
This section provide guidance for candidates looking to register for one of the following:
- BMAT (November session)
- STEP Mathematics
- Test of Mathematics for University Admission
- University of Cambridge pre-interview assessments
- University of Oxford admissions tests and MAT for Imperial College London.
Most candidates sit our admissions tests at their own school or college. Please contact the Examinations Officer or School Counsellor at your school to check if your school has eligibility to run our admissions tests or if they would be willing to contact us to discuss administering the test for you.
If you cannot take a test at your school/college, we have a network of open centres throughout the world where you can take our tests. Our Public Open centres accept external candidates and you can find contact details on our Find a centre page.
Please note: some of our Public Open centres operate multiple venues (which do not appear on the 'Find a centre' webpages).
If you need to take University of Cambridge at-interview assessments or TSA UCL, your test sitting will be arranged for you by the respective universities at the time of your interview.
You can find more information about our tests, deadline dates, costs and preparation for the tests on the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing website.
