This article supplements the information in the Instructions for packing and return of materials - DHL, which are sent as hard copies to centres in advance of the October tests. You can view all administration documentation for the session here.
For detailed instructions on packing, sealing, and returning October session materials, please see the Instructions.
Please note that we ask centres to return admissions testing material back to us within 24 hours of the tests. Any delays in doing so could cause delays in processing the candidates' materials and the release of their results.
Which envelopes should I use?
A4 envelopes for the removal of materials from the test room - provided by centre - optional stepIf you are going to be packaging the test materials somewhere other than the test room, you may like to use A4 envelopes to collate and seal the test materials before moving them.
We suggest this as an extra security measure to ensure no test materials are lost or exposed while being moved.
For this purpose, A4 standard envelopes provided by your centre would be appropriate.
Once you have transferred the test materials to the location you will be packaging them, please remove them from the A4 envelopes and follow the relevant steps below.
DHL cardboard courier envelope - optional step
These cardboard envelopes are an optional step. They are for centres who are returning only very few test papers, to ensure that the final package is more solid and as a loss-prevention measure.
If you have only a few candidates (less than five, for example), please insert the test papers into this cardboard envelope. Note that the Envelope for the removal of materials from the test room will be sealed and contain the test materials.
If you are returning more than a few papers, and so do not require this cardboard envelope to ensure the package's solidity, then you can simply dispose of this envelope and proceed to step 3.
- Pre-addressed return envelope
This envelope is the final envelope that you will need to use.
If you used a Cardboard courier envelope from step 2, insert this into the Pre-addressed return envelope.
If you did not use a Cardboard courier envelope, simply insert the test materials directly into the Pre-addressed return envelope.
Ensure that the Pre-addressed return envelope is sealed.
Returning the final pre-addressed envelope
Please refer to the Instructions for further detail.
Note that once the Pre-addressed return envelope is sealed, you'll need to attach the courier waybill to it.
